Serving Others in the Community
People in the St John’s community serves in a variety
of community service organizations. Some of these organizations and our
involvement with them are listed below. If you would like to know more

Julia Farr Centre

People from St John’s provide a
Worship Service for residents of Julia
Farr Centre
on a fortnightly basis. One of our Pastors leads the
Worship, and
others assist by wheeling residents to and
from the
chapel, and joining the residents in worship. |
Fullarton Lutheran Homes

St John’s Congregation has had a long association
with Fullarton
Lutheran Homes. Several of St John’s members live at
Fullarton
Lutheran Homes, and many others are involved in helping and
supporting the elderly residents there.

Amandus
Lutheran Disability Services

At our AGM on 30th
October, we are also urgently seeking a board member/s for the
Amandus Lutheran Disability Council from the congregation. A person
with Christian wisdom, Leadership skills, maturity and stability.
They would give a direct contact and ownership and further
strengthen the connection with Amandus. Our clients at Edmund Ave
worship at the Chapel service every Sunday and are highly visible
and interactive during the service.
